SIP

SIP Technologies has created a miniaturized, programmable ozone generator that resides inside water coolers – and sanitizes them each night automatically. The SIP unit sanitizes by circulating micro-bubbles of chemical-free ozone into the cooler’s reservoir. SIP helps to insure that your water cooler does not compromise water quality.

Why do I need SIP?

Both bottled and plumbed in water coolers need to be sanitised in addition to being cleaned to prevent the growth of micro bacteria which can affect the quality of the water you drink. Bottled water coolers need to be fully sanitised every 3 months and plumbed in water coolers require sanitising every 6 months. If a water cooler is turned off for more than 6 hours it needs to be sanitised before the water is used. SIP automatically sanitises the water every night, reducing the need for sanitising by half. It has been accepted by both the EPDWA and BWCA.

Will this cost me more money?

The SIP technology allows you to put your water cooler on sleep mode every night without the water quality being compromised, or the need for additional sanitisation. This means you are saving electricity every night, an average of 912kwh per year for a hot and cold water cooler and 139kwh for ambient and cold water coolers, reducing your electricity bill.

Anything else?

By reducing the amount of electricity you use, you are also reducing your carbon footprint. Current DEFRA calculations estimate that each kwh of electricity used creates 530gsm of carbon emission. The annual reduction in carbon emissions as a result of installing SIP technology on a hot and cold water dispenser is an amazing 490kg and 74.5kg for an ambient and cold water cooler.

In summary SIP:-

  • Keeps your water sanitised
  • Saves you money
  • Reduces your Carbon footprint
