Useful tips

Daily Maintenance Tips

  • Empty and rinse after each use: discard used grounds or pods. Rinse the brew basket, carafe, and drip tray to prevent build-up and odours.​

  • Wipe down exterior: use a damp cloth to clean the outside of the machine. Avoid abrasive cleaners.

  • Run a water-only brew: especially if using milk or flavoured syrups, flush the system with plain water to prevent residue build up.

Weekly Maintenance Tips

  • Deep clean removable parts: wash the water reservoir, carafe, portafilter, and any other removable components with warm soapy water.

  • Check for clogs: inspect the coffee spout, filters, and brew head for any blockages.

  • Descale if needed: if your machine is used heavily or you have hard water, consider descaling more frequently.

Monthly/Bi-Monthly Maintenance Tips

  • Descale the machine: use a descaling solution or a mix of vinegar and water (follow manufacturer instructions) to remove mineral build-up. run a few cycles of water afterwards to rinse thoroughly.

  • Clean or replace water filters: some machines have water filters that should be cleaned or replaced regularly to ensure water quality.

Pro Maintenance Tips

  • Use filtered water: this reduces mineral build-up and improves taste.

  • Don't let water sit: empty the reservoir if you're not using the machine for a few days.

  • Store properly: if storing long term, clean and dry all the parts thoroughly to prevent mold or bacteria.

  • Follow manufacturer guidelines: always check your machines manual for specific maintenance instructions.

Machine shutdown help

If you are away from your machine for 5 days or more, it is important to make sure the machine is shutdown correctly. This helps prevent any issues occurring whilst you are away and maintains proper function for when you return. Please make sure you follow the instructions specific to your machine.

Step 1

Remove the ingredients (coffee/milk/tea/hot chocolate) from the machine and place into a refrigerator. Please note these ingredients cannot be refrozen. Please clean and flush the machine as per normal instructions.

​​Bean To Cup (Fresh Milk)

Step 1

Remove the fresh milk from the fridge and clean the machine as per normal instructions. Please clean and flush the machine as per normal instructions.

​​Bean To Cup (Powdered Milk)

Step 1

Remove the ingredients from the canisters and clean the machine/canisters as per normal instructions. Please clean and flush the machine as per normal instructions.

Step 2

Turn the mains water supply off to the machine at the point of the connection to your mains water supply. When the black tap is facing in line with the plumbing, the mains water supply is ON. To isolate the water supply, turn the tap 90° so it is no longer in line with the piping. The mains water is now OFF.

*If you can’t access this point, please go to step 3

Step 3

If you are unable to turn the mains water isolation point off, pleas turn the secondary isolation tap off which can be found close to the rear of your machine. When the blue tap is in line with the plumbing, the water is ON. To isolate the water, please turn the tap 90° so it is no longer in line with the piping. The mains water is now OFF.

Step 4

With the mains water now turned OFF, switch the power supply to your hot & cold equipment OFF.​​

Do's and Don'ts

Please find below some do's and on'ts for using your cooler correctly. It is important to follow these to make sure your cooler function is maintained in the long term.

Do's:

  • Report any malfunctions and leaks to us. This allows us to help provide support for the issue.

  • Follower handling guidelines when lifting or moving your machine. Some of our machines are heavier than you may expect, so it is important to follow guidelines to prevent unnecessary injuries.

  • Empty and clean the drip tray regularly

  • Use sanitsing spray provided on taps when required. Please ask if you are in need of some.

  • Report unusual taste or smell back to us.

  • Rotate stock of bottled in expiry date order

  • Store all full and unopened bottles of water in a cool, dark space

  • Keep bottles away from staining substances such as solvents, fuels etc.

  • Wash your hands before replacing ingredient packs

Don'ts​:

  • Interfere with the electrical circuits or change the fuse rating

  • Attempt to dismantle the machine

  • Use the machine as a storage shelf

  • Touch nozzles or dispense liquids with dirty hands

  • Pour unwanted drinks (like tea, coffee, etc) into the drip tray

  • Relocate the machine without informing us first

  • Place the machine in direct sunlight or close to bright lights

  • Use unapproved sprays, mists or vapours near the cooler

  • Use corrosive, abrasive or perfumed cleaners on the exterior surfaces
